Spiritual retreats are conducted to give an admirable opportunity to live in the holy company of monks and in the spiritual atmosphere of the ashram. Devotees hear them give talks on varied spiritual topics, sing the glory of God, meditate under their guidance — in short, live a spiritual life in holy company.
Retreats are of two kinds. One is where the Ashram specifies particular dates and invites the interested people to participate by filling up a Registration Form. The other type of Retreat is a group of like-minded aspirants join and request the ashram by proposing a Retreat on those days convenient to them. These group Retreats are exclusively for the group only.
One of the specialities of the Yelagiri Retreat is an item called ‘Walk by the Woods”. This brings an eco awareness and contributes to the feeling of the oneness with the Nature.
