The Universal Temple is the hub of all activities. All people, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, race, and nationality, are welcome here. They can either participate in the worship, bhajans, arati, etc or engage themselves in silent prayer or meditation.
The shrine is open from morning 6.00 am to 11.45 am and evening 4.00 pm to 7.45 pm. Apart from daily Mangalarati, Vedic Chanting, singing of Suprabhatams and offerings of fruits and sweets in the morning. Aratrikam or evening prayers are performed at 6.15 pm. Immediately after Aratrikam, bhajans are being sung on all week days.
The Rama-nama Sankirtanam or chanting the name of Lord Rama is held on all Ekadashi days during the evening Arati time. Special Puja in the morning is performed on the birth tithis of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Guru Purnima.
The birthdays of all other direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna and other great Incarnations and world teachers like Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ, Sri Adi Shankara, Sri Ramanuja and Sri Chaitanya are duly celebrated with reverential homage.
